On Sunday, September 15th, at 2pm, the Bromley Historical Society is pleased to present a talk by journalist and educator Jamie Bramburger, on the story told in his recent book Sudden Impact: The Almonte Train Wreck of 1942. The accident, which is one of the worst in Canadian railway history, resulted in 39 deaths and over 150 people injured. The presentation, which is free to the public, will take place in the Old Town Hall, 498 Micksburg Road in Osceola.
