Seasonal Driver/Operator (CUPE 4353)

 

The position of seasonal skilled Driver/Operator provides a variety of construction, maintenance, repair and emergency response services related to public roads with a focus on public safety and convenience.  This seasonal position undertakes winter maintenance, including plowing, sanding and salting.

 

Position Qualifications:

  • Previous related experience in the operation of tandem trucks, back hoe, loader, and other miscellaneous equipment would be an asset.
  • Valid D-Z licence mandatory (with A-Z as desirable).  Road related courses considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated excellent safety record, ability to meet physical demands of the position.
  • Ability to maintain regular maintenance.
  • Ability to be on call 24 hours per day combined with a flexibility in hours of work.

 

Compensation:  $23.65/hour – 40 hours per week

 

Seasonal Position:  The position shall commence November 18, 2018 and end April 27, 2018
