January 3, 2025 UPDATE:
Beachburg Drinking Water System Boil Water Advisory Remains in Effect - Update (January 3, 2025, at 2:00 pm)
The Boil Water Advisory for the users of the Village of Beachburg Water System remains in effect in response to the possibility of bacterial contamination in the distribution system due to a loss of pressure event as a result of a watermain break on January 1, 2025.
The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) has received the first of two results from mandatory sampling that took place on January 2 and the results are negative for bacterial contamination.
OCWA has conducted the second set of sampling on the morning of Friday January 3, and results are expected in the afternoon of Saturday January 4.
The Township will issue further communications tomorrow afternoon after receiving the second sampling test results. A review of the results by the Medical Officer of Health (Renfrew County and District Health Unit) will also occur tomorrow afternoon to provide further direction on the Boil Water Advisory.
The Township would like to thank residents for your patience during the Boil Water Advisory.
The Township can be contacted at 613-646-2282 (Option 0) from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and after-hours emergency at 613-647-3333.
