Project Description
The Beachburg Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is located at 31 Robertson Drive, Beachburg, Ontario. The WTP was built in 1955 and the most recent retrofit was completed in 1994 which included a building expansion, high and low lift pumps replacement, a new packaged treatment unit and a 150kW diesel emergency backup generator.
The main objective of the project is the renewal and optimization of the Beachburg Water Treatment Plant. The renewal will address vital components of the plant that are reaching the end of their useful life to preserve the health and safety of Beachburg residents. Optimization of the plant will comprise 10 major components that will include digital control and monitoring in order to reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions, increase capacity and provide redundancy.
The scope of project encompasses 10 essential components for renewal, rehabilitation and optimization to the Beachburg Water Treatment Plant (WTP). These include wells, pumps, electrical, generator, instrumentation, SCADA, process piping, HVAC, building and clear well.
